Our Boy Bear!

by Danielle And Tom Velez
(Westbury, NY)

Bear who thinks he is a male model!

Bear who thinks he is a male model!

We brought Bear home almost a year ago in November, he is an 11 month old green eyed red tri Aussie. He was an impulse decision but the most wonderful oops ever! He has brought so much joy and love into my husband's and my life! He is a responsibility that is both hard and so rewarding! Bear has shown such intelligence in that he has learned commands within an hour. This breed is definitely super smart and super high energy!

He loves to hike and we have tackled several mountains with him so far in the Hudson Highlands in NY. He loves to run and has become my running partner in the mornings and makes it an enjoyable experience. He loves to play with his best friend a German Shepherd and makes us think that we may need to add another Aussie to our family to keep our baby happy. I could not think of life without him, he's my Velcro boy!

Bear

Wow, it's a small world. I also have a red tri named Bear, but we call him Teebear, cause I'm from Louisiana and Tee means little. His colors But by no means is our Teebear little. He weighs almost 70 pounds. His color scheme is almost like your Bear. I totally agree with you-- these dogs are very intelligent.. Teebear can create scenarios to get something he wants. They are not only beautiful, but very very smart and conniving. I'm glad your Bear has a friend like you. Can't help but love these dogs.

He is such a cutie. 5 years ago, we started with 2 baby aussies and today, we have 4. I wouldn't trade them for the world.
