Potty Time

by Paul
(Painesville, Ohio)

How often should a 4 month old Aussie pup poop in a day? Our pup Willow is fed twice a day, once in the morning, once in the evening but she poops (good, healthy, large, solid formed) 3 to 5 times a day.

Is this normal or is our puppy a poop making savant?

Are you giving him the right amount of food? If you give to much he will poop more than he should.

This can be normal for a 4 month old puppy. Typically, what goes in must come out. As he gets older he won't poop as much. Just remember that you need to feed a good quality food!!! Your pup (any dog) will poop less if fed a decent food. All others are full of fillers which means more poop!

I would only worry if your pup wasn't going. Enjoy your puppy and dont worry so much.
