Sadie, My Retirement Aussie

by Micheal Elwood
(Brantford, Ontario, Canada )

My girl Sadie, date of birth Dec. 13, 2013, almost did not happen. Upon retiring one of my goals was to acquire a puppy and have a partner to walk and play with. Two years into my golden years and my wife showed me a Facebook picture of Sadie, at 8 weeks of age one of a litter of four, born with no wrist on her left front paw, a broken tail, and the most gorgeous face we had ever seen.

Friends today ask Can she run, and we say put your dog down and let's see! Sadie surprises most people with her pleasant disposition but even more so with her in-bred ability to herd, and listen to commands. An amazing pet who is now 4 1/2 and grows closer every day.

Aussies are awesome!
