Should I Keep Mixing Puppy Foods Or Just Stick With One?

I started my Aussie who is 13 weeks on Taste of The Wild and she loves it. Recently the vet told us to feed her a grain food because he said there’s something that grain-free dog food cause heart problems.

Anyway, I found Whole Earth Farms Puppy food at PetCo. It’s not grain-free and started to feed her a 1:1 mixture of each food and she’s doing fine and still eats it all.

Is it ok to be feeding her a 1:1 mixture of each food or should I just stick to one?

myth to "grain free" dog food
by: Anonymous

The whole grain free causes heart problems is a myth. Please research this. The study was done on "cheap" dog food that lists inexpensive foods like potatoes and lentils as one of the first 5 ingredients, meaning it was a primary food source. Most times, in good dog foods, these ingredients will be listed as a bottom item, meaning it is not one of the "main" ingredients. Please research this, as this "myth" is getting out of control media attention. As always, if you have any questions, consult your veterinarian. I have always given my dogs lentils (a source of protein) and quinoa as an additive in my homemade dog food. "I" believe variety is the spice of life and "moderation" goes a long way. Please do your research.
