Sick Dog Throws Up After Eating

(Hawkins, Texas)

Anna is 9 months old and for the last week, she eats her dry food and within 2-4 hours she throws up the food.

The Vet ran x-rays and no obstructions were found and she was given Famotidine 20 mg to be taken every 12 hours and Sucralfate 1 gm. Even with this medicine, she is still throwing up after each meal.

Today I am changing to moist Pedigree can food, to see if the dry food is to rough on her stomach.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Wow! Tough luck! Maybe she is eating to fast? My cousins dog Had that same issue,we found out she was drinking to fast so we gave her that hamster water dispenser but for dogs.
It worked! Good luck!

Today she has only had moist can food and so far, no problems. It's 8 pm and 2 meals and she has not had to throw up.

It may be she can not handle dry food!

Poor Anna!

Just a thought ... was it a new bag of food that could possibly have something wrong with it?

Pedigree is the worst choice. Try a dry dog food that is wheat, corn, soy free and soften it with water.
