Stubbornness

How do I deal with stubbornness in my 10 month old? My Aussie has started to refuse to come up the stairs.

Puppies are so much fun, aren't they? Never know what is to happen from day to day. He has probably been frightened by something that happened or just something in that puppy brain of his. Positive reinforcement is the way to go-- lots of treats and praise. Have you tried clicker training? It has worked great with my girls. For treats you might want to use hot dogs, chicken or something he doesn't normally get. Good luck with your boy. My Bryn turned 11 months yesterday.

My aussie is 9 mo old and very intelligent and all she wants to do is please. I think because they are so intelligent that they can be a little stubborn sometimes. If mine doesn't come when I call her name (Bailey) I will say come on baby and put my hands out like I want a big hug and she comes running. She gets so excited that I want her that she flies to me. I love it.
