Sudden Death Cause for My Australian Shepherd?

by Cayla
(Pennsylvania)

My dog, Blu, just passed away today. He was perfectly healthy, eating normal, playing normal. I wasn't there, but I saw him on Facetime and he was jumping around and playing like he always does.

He was found dead in the back yard and we have no idea what happened. Does anybody know what could've happened? It doesn't make any sense. He was fine hours before. There were absolutely no changes to his personality or anything.

1st, I am so sorry that you lost your baby. I lost mine in Dec of '19 to epilepsy. 2nd one possible cause of your pup's demise could be gastric bloat. My understanding is that unless it is treated immediately, it can be fatal. Here's the article, and I hope it helps with the questions.
