Sudden Misbehavior From My Australian Shepherd

Recently our 1-year-old male Australian Shepherd has torn up about 5 cushions from patio furniture. In addition, he is completely housebroken and has been for a long time.

Tonight, though, he walked directly to my son's backpack and hiked his leg. We stopped him before he marked but... He has NEVER shown these behaviors before.

We have been letting him hang out outside more as the weather is nice and we got a fencing issue fixed. He usually loves being outside for a while.

Any ideas though?
