Hi, I just signed up with this site because I have a Toy Aussie Blue Merle Female on the way. She was born July 20, 2011 and I am insanely excited to see her! Just had to share my excitement with someone! Any advice would be great!

oh my. how precious she is. I can understand your excitement. is she your first dog, or first Aussie? did you get her from a breeder? did you meet the parents?

You will have a wonderful dog, in her, friend, companion, and sometimes a real jokester, but smart as all. enjoy her;

Take her out often in the beginning to get her potty trained,(at least once every hour)it goes by the age, as she gets older by the month then you can do it every two hours, and so on. take her for walks, and runs, if you can, to get her energy out(but not too much in the beginning, nor in the heat, she will sleep alot,off and on. Feed her 2-3 times a day until she's about 6 months, then drop it down to twice a day. always give her water when she's looking for it(but you'll have to take her out sometime after that)

If you want her crate trainned, start early on, with rewards.

Do everything with love, these dogs are very sensative, and love to love and please.

if you have specific questions, anyone here will be happy to help.

How adorable she is!! This site and this forum will give you tons of information that will help in the months to come. She will capture your heart with a single look.

We have two Aussies, one female mini blue-eyed, blue merle and one female toy brown-eyed, black tri. They play together all the time.

Good luck - I am sure I will see you her again!
