Meet Tigger

***Can't adopt? Tigger also needs a foster! Interested in adoption but want to try it out? Tigger is also available as foster to adopt! Love at first sight? Straight adoption is also an option! ARMA will also consider out of area applicants for Tigger.***

Hi, I’m Tigger—your future partner in crime (the legal kind, I promise).

Let me guess—you’re the kind of human who likes long walks, meaningful conversations, a bit of sass, and a whole lot of smarts in a four-legged package. Well, buckle up. I’ve been waiting for you.

I’m an Aussie-Husky mix, which basically means I’m a genius wrapped in floof. I’m about 3 years old, handsome as heck (I mean, come on, have you seen my black tri coat?), I am looking for my forever home.

So, here’s the deal:

I’m a thinker, a doer, a “what’s behind that door?” kind of dog. I like to be where the action is. Close the door on me and I’ll let you know I’m not thrilled about it. But give me structure, purpose, freedom, and a little snacky-snack trail to follow, and I’m all in.

I’m crate-trained-ish—meaning I’ll settle in my crate when life is chill and the day has been full of sniffs, training, and a bit of adventure. But please don’t shove me in a box and expect me to thrive. I’m a living, breathing companion—not a coffee table.

Let’s talk walks: I love walks. I especially love sniffy walks, food-finding walks, and long-line decompression hikes where I can feel the breeze and pretend I’m a wilderness explorer. I also do really well in urban areas (so many smells, so little time).

Now, I won’t lie—I’m not the easiest roommate. I’ve got opinions about sharing my stuff with other dogs, and while I can hang with dogs socially, I’d rather be your one and only at home. No kids either, please. I like a calm vibe and grown-up energy.

But if you’re the right human—someone who’s dog-savvy, appreciates a clever canine who thrives on cooperation, and doesn’t need a Velcro dog—I will be your ride-or-die. I’m not here to be dominated or micromanaged. I’m looking for a partner. A teammate. A person who sees me for who I am and says, “Yep, I get you.”

In return? You get all of me. My loyalty. My humor. My big heart. And yeah, maybe a few hilarious tantrums when you close a door without my approval. Fair’s fair.

I’m neutered, up-to-date on shots, house-trained, and currently living in Richmond Virginia while I wait for you. If you’re not nearby I promise I'm worth the drive to meet.

Think we could be something special? Please fill out an adoption application at aussierescueofthemidatlantic.org or shoot us an email - info@aussierescueofthemidatlantic.org and let’s make it official.

Love,

Tigger (a dog, a vibe, a lifestyle)
