What Color Might These Australian Shepherd Puppies Be?

Red?

Red/blue?

Blue?

We are trying to pick a puppy and we THINK the first is a red merle and the last is a blue? We are unsure about the middle one. What might these look like grown and does anyone know if they are red or blue.

Brown nose- red dog
Black nose- black/blue dog

I like the coloring on the left boy best! But I would wait to see their personalities before making a final choice, that is most important to me.

I agree with both of the previous comments. The color of the nose alone determines the color of the dog, and pick your pet on personality traits, not color, especially eye color. Many people miss out on a fantastic companion, because they want a dog with blues eyes, and don’t even consider those dogs with the "ordinary" brown eyes. First blue eyes are weak in comparison to the brown. The blue eyes are very light-sensitive, and will eventually give the dog vision problems. My daughter’s 3-year-old blue merle male is already blind in the dark, which is not normal for a dog. Finally, although I have Aussies of every color and pattern, I must admit my best Mini Aussies are my tris, both the red and the black tris. I love my merles, but they seem to be more "emo" and need more attention and affirmation than my tough and confident tris. I speak only from my own experience and not from scientific research.
