Our new Australian Shepherd puppy has an all white face? Should I be concerned?

The young pup in the picture will change its appearance as it grows, possibly adding more colour. It is known as a mismarkin to have an all white face, but that in itself doesn’t usually affect the health of the dog. It does have colour on the ears, which will get stronger.

Excess white like this could be the hallmark of a homozygous/double/white merle, which more often than not will be blind and/or deaf. This does look more like pattern white though, and though hard to tell/can't be told from a picture the eyes look okay in the photos. Pattern whites are at increased risk of deafness, especially when the area around the base of the ears is white. They aren't more prone to blindness.
Does the pup have 2 merle parents? I would have to vet checked to be sure it's normal, and have it state in the contract that the pup is guaranteed to be sound.
Personally, I wouldn't want the potential problem and would choose a different pup. But you are probably okay.
