Yard Digging

I have a 1 year old female that loves to dig. Is there any chance of getting her to stop?

Put a shock collar on her and when she starts to dig, give her a zap.

I made a "digging area" for my Aussie. It has dirt and sand and she can dig there all she wants. When she would dig elsewhere, I would call her to her digging spot. She now knows the command DIG and will do so. She enjoyed it almost every day for a while, but now she has sort of lost interest in it and only occasionally digs a little. However, if I am planting something, she wants to help me dig. :-)

I had an Aussie that would dig as well. I tried the trick of putting her droppings in the refilled hole. It sort of worked but not 100%. She eventually stopped doing it.
Good luck.

Mine only digs when she hears a mole in the ground. You should see my yard! I sometimes even find a chewed up mole.
